Q. |
When I type in 15 in the ignition table, it changes to 11 by itself. |
PCII |
A. |
The maximum timing allowed is +/- 11 degrees. If a value is entered that is larger than +/- 11 the software automatically reduces the value to the maximum allowed. |

Q. |
Why can I not adjust the timing at 2000 rpm on my Suzuki? |
PCII |
A. |
On Suzuki models timing changes can only be made from 4000 rpm and up. |

Q. |
I like the way my bike runs with the map I have loaded, but I am going on a long trip and would like to increase the fuel economy. Can I use the buttons on the Power Commander to do this? |
All Models |
A. |
You can lean out the fuel curve in the low and mid ranges by 1 to 3 "bars". This can help with fuel economy, but may adversely affect cruise smoothness and/or throttle response. It is recommended that if you adjust the buttons for a long trip that you adjust them back upon arriving at you destination. |

Q. |
I have a bike with a substantial amount of work done to the engine. Things like ported heads, big cams, larger throttle bodies, etc have been done. Can I use an "off the shelf" map? |
All Models |
A. |
Generally speaking, a bike with this much work done is going to require a custom map. For the engine to perform at its peak the fuel curve needs to be setup up on a Dynamometer at one of our Power Commander Tuning Centers. These shops have the proper equipment and training to develop custom maps. They can be found by clicking here! |
