Dynojet educates the educators!
Dynojet UK is pleased to be associated with the New Engineering Fellowship Scheme.
Lecturers from Preston College have recognised that new industries are demanding engineers who are knowledgeable, innovative and confident in the use and application of new technologies.
The New Engineering Fellowship Scheme is designed to improve the quality of engineering and technology lecturers, updating skill sets and competencies, to ensure that what is taught in the classroom is what industry really needs.
The partnership with Preston College and Dynojet UK has allowed the Head of the Technology Dept, Roger Watson, to spend a three week secondment working and learning new skills at the hi-tech Dynojet UK facility.
Roger's time spent 'out in the industry' has enabled him to formulate innovative curriculum topics, and define specific educational goals in relation to teaching students, not history, but the skills needed for modern day engineering and technology enterprises.
Dynojet UK are keeping a close relationship with the college, as regular visits by students are on the agenda.
Frank Wrathall, MD of Dynojet UK Ltd expressed his recognition of the college's forward thinking by commenting: 'At long last our fast moving industry is being taken seriously by those who educate our future workforce.'
The NEF Scheme is a nationwide incentive run by the New Engineering Foundation.
